Driving Change: VicRoads Trials Crumb Rubber Asphalt

This project will promote sustainable solutions for surfacing heavily trafficked roads. To do this, VicRoads will trial market‑ready asphalt products that incorporate crumb rubber on their road network and monitor the performance over time. By demonstrating the performance of crumb rubber asphalt products, specifications and practices in relation to the use of these products can be changed in order to allow their use and therefore increase consumption of tyre-derived crumb rubber.
