Tyre Stewardship Australia commissioned Marsden Jacob Associates in 2025 to complete an independent review of the Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme and TSA’s administration of the Scheme.
The review considered whether the Scheme is working against its objectives and targets, and whether TSA is administering it with strong governance, engagement and industry representation.
Independent reviews provide transparency and accountability for a voluntary, industry-funded scheme. This review assesses TSA and the Scheme against the agreed Terms of Reference, including progress on prior recommendations, alignment with ACCC expectations, performance reporting, and stakeholder participation and acceptance.
This review is relevant to stakeholders across the tyre supply chain, government and regulators, and organisations with an interest in end-of-life tyre outcomes, stewardship approaches, and scheme governance.
