What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Upon the establishment of the structure-property relationships of the composites, the team will work with industry partners to identify commercial opportunities for the research. This will involve using the research findings to understand where commercial opportunities might be available in relation to the newly developed composite materials through: the utilisation of TDP for composite production purposes via assessing the business case for using TDP relative to conventional materials, & engagement with local manufacturers to ascertain the commercial and process oriented barriers and opportunities associated with the utilisation of TDP in composite materials.
