This project will develop an asphalt mix with crumb rubber and a high amount of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The new product will be thinner than standard asphalt roads, but the crumb rubber component is expected to enhance the road’s overall performance. The trial is about creating a recycled road product that saves money for councils and rate payers while delivering a safe and reliable product.
