AP Fleet Management has achieved accreditation under Australia’s voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme, administered by Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA). This accreditation is reflective of the commitment by AP Fleet to support sustainability in the automotive industry through responsible disposable of end-of-life tyres across its fleet operations.
AP Fleet supports an extensive array of vehicle types across Australia, including a substantial proportion of commercial and government fleet assets, demonstrating the company’s significant footprint in the national fleet landscape. AP Fleet’s growth has been supported by its access to one of Australia’s largest aftermarket servicing networks.
Australia generates approximately 67 million end-of-life tyres each year, making responsible tyre management a significant national challenge. With corporate fleets managing around two-thirds of Australia’s business vehicles, fleet operators have the potential to play a central role in improving tyre stewardship outcomes and the fate of Australia’s end-of-life tyres.
“As AP Fleet continues to support and promote all types of organisations that contribute to sustainable outcomes, it is imperative that we adhere to the superior standards which Tyre Stewardship Australia Accreditation provides,” said Anthony Curtin, Executive Sales & Contracts Manager, AP Fleet. “This accreditation allows us to focus on not only decreasing waste but also on increasing social and economic value through tyre education, which is often overlooked and is an important safety and economic issue.”
By becoming TSA Accredited, AP Fleet joins more than 1,700 organisations nationally participating in the Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme. These participants span tyre retailers, recyclers, collectors, fleet operators and automotive businesses working collectively to improve recovery outcomes for used tyres.
“Fleet operators are one of the most important leverage points for improving tyre stewardship outcomes in Australia,” said Lina Goodman, CEO of Tyre Stewardship Australia. “For fleets managing large volumes of tyres, operating through accredited channels supports more consistent handling and processing across the tyre value chain.”
AP Fleet provides fleet management, servicing and premium 24/7 roadside assistance services across Australia. Its Australian fleet accreditation reflects a proactive approach to environmental responsibility and responds to growing expectations from customers, governments, and communities for greater oversight of waste and resource recovery practices.

Background on Tyre Stewardship Australia
Established in 2014, Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) delivers Australia’s national Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) — an ACCC-authorised, industry-led framework that addresses the environmental, health and safety risks associated with the 67 million equivalent passenger units (EPUs) reaching end of life each year.
TSA’s vision is a circular tyre economy, where end-of-life tyres are recovered as valuable resources and returned to productive use.
Working across the full tyre value chain — from manufacturers and retailers to collectors, recyclers, governments and end-markets — TSA strengthens accountability, builds markets and influences behaviour to ensure tyres are managed responsibly and productively.
TSA delivers impact by:
Through collaboration, evidence and practical action, TSA helps turn end-of-life tyres into engineered advantage.
