What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Suppliers of recycled tyre-derived products are encouraged to register for the new Choose Circular Directory, a free online platform designed to connect buyers across New South Wales with recycled content products.

Developed by the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, the Directory aims to make it easier for government agencies, businesses and the broader community to identify and purchase products that contain recycled materials.

The initiative supports the NSW Government's increasing focus on circular procurement and follows the introduction of new requirements for government agencies to preference recycled content in certain procurement activities. By improving visibility of recycled content products, the Directory is expected to help strengthen markets for recycled materials and create new opportunities for suppliers. Learn more about the reporting guide for NSW Recycled content.

For businesses manufacturing products derived from recycled tyres, the platform offers a valuable opportunity to showcase products to a wider audience and connect with buyers actively seeking sustainable procurement solutions.

Benefits of Registering

Businesses listed in the Choose Circular Directory can:

  • Showcase recycled content products to a broad audience
  • Increase visibility with NSW Government agencies, businesses and public sector buyers
  • Connect with potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Support the growth of demand for recycled content products across the state

The Directory is expected to play an important role in helping buyers source verified recycled content products while supporting the transition to a more circular economy.

Register by 25 September 2026

Registrations for the Choose Circular Directory close on Friday, 25 September 2026.

Businesses interested in participating can register their products through the NSW Government's Choose Circular program.
