What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Blast-Resistant Wall Systems

Lightweight wall systems made with tyre-derived material (TDM) offer a high-performance alternative to traditional reinforced concrete or masonry in applications requiring blast and ballistic resistance.

An example of this technology is the ProtectiFlex® composite panel system, developed by Flexiroc. These modular panels use a patented mix of materials—incorporating recycled tyre rubber—to achieve the same structural protection as fully grouted reinforced masonry, while reducing weight by up to 45%.

Designed to resemble precast concrete panels, these systems are suitable for both new construction and retrofit projects. Panels can be cast in a variety of architectural finishes to meet project-specific aesthetic and functional needs.

Key benefits:

  • Certified blast and ballistic resistance
  • Up to 45% lighter than conventional concrete or masonry systems
  • Modular and easy to install, with design flexibility
  • Suitable for defence, infrastructure, utilities and public buildings
  • Architectural versatility with a range of surface finishes

These wall systems combine safety, efficiency and sustainability — demonstrating the role of TDM in high-performance, impact-resistant construction.
