What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Recycled Rubber Lighting Solutions

Recycled rubber is now being transformed into award-winning lighting solutions that combine sound management, sustainability and design impact. Through a collaboration between Acustico Lighting and Envirorubber Solutions Pty Ltd, the Brutalis Collection is manufactured locally using granulated rubber sourced from Australian end-of-life car tyres.

This unique range of pendant lighting not only enhances interiors visually but also helps to create quieter, more comfortable environments. With a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.64 in the mid-to-high frequency range, these fittings are an effective acoustic treatment for spaces prone to reverberation.

Inspired by a client need to calm a noisy boardroom, Acustico Lighting was founded by interior designer Samantha McKenzie, who sought to fuse function and aesthetics to create visually striking, acoustically calming solutions for residential and commercial interiors alike.

The Brutalis Collection has earned international recognition, including:

  • Gold Good Design Award (2019)
  • LIT Pendant Lighting Award (2018)

Lighting with TDM offers a circular, design-led solution to improving wellbeing in built environments — particularly in workplaces, hospitality venues, meeting spaces and open-plan living areas.
