What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Rubber Granules

Rubber granules are a coarser form of tyre-derived material, typically ranging from 2–15mm in size. Produced by shredding and refining end-of-life tyres, these granules retain the durable, shock-absorbing properties of rubber—making them ideal for a wide range of impact-reducing and performance-enhancing applications.

Common uses include:

  • Soft-fall surfaces for playgrounds and recreational areas
  • Synthetic sports fields and training grounds
  • Athletics tracks and running lanes
  • Underlay layers for turf systems and shockpad bases
  • Recreational surfacing for schools, parks and community spaces

Rubber granules are often combined with binders and pigments to create seamless, weather-resistant surfaces that comply with Australian safety standards. Their cushioning effect reduces the risk of injury and contributes to more inclusive, high-performance environments across sport, education and urban design.

Choosing rubber granules made from recycled tyres supports the circular economy while delivering proven benefits in public infrastructure, recreation and commercial construction.
