What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Rubber Mats for Livestock

Rubber mats made from end-of-life tyres offer a durable, non-slip surface that improves livestock safety and reduces injuries in high-traffic or high-stress handling areas. These mats are particularly valuable in yards, laneways, loading ramps, and dairy sheds — anywhere livestock are at risk of slipping or falling.

An example of this application is Taurus Mats, which are manufactured by weaving together old four-wheel drive tyre treads and securing them with stainless steel bolts. The result is a tough, flexible mat that provides excellent grip and resilience under heavy use.

Key benefits:

  • Non-slip surface reduces risk of livestock injury and stress
  • Suitable for wet, muddy or uneven terrain
  • Made from reused 4WD tyre treads, increasing durability
  • Easy to install and maintain in working farm environments
  • Supports circular economy outcomes by repurposing waste tyres

Rubber mats for livestock are an effective way to enhance animal welfare, productivity and property safety — while giving tyres a valuable second life on the farm.
