What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

Spray-On Structural Protection Coatings

Spray-applied structural coatings made with tyre-derived material (TDM) offer a lightweight, high-performance solution for blast, ballistic and fire resistance in both new and existing infrastructure. These cementitious mixes are designed to flex under impact, absorbing energy and reducing the risk of structural failure or injury.

Sprayed ProtectiFlex® is a patented, fire-rated cementitious mix that incorporates crumb rubber from Australian end-of-life tyres and composite fibres. When applied to concrete, masonry or steel surfaces, the coating forms a resilient protective layer that helps mitigate the effects of explosions, projectile strikes, natural disasters and high temperatures.

Key benefits:

  • Blast and ballistic resistance through energy absorption
  • Fire resistance in high-risk or extreme environments
  • Reduces risk of spalling and secondary injury
  • Returns to shape after impact with no loss of performance
  • Suitable for retrofit or new construction
  • Easily applied in a wide range of environments
  • Contributes to circular economy outcomes using recycled tyre rubber

Sprayed protective coatings like ProtectiFlex® are ideal for defence facilities, public buildings, transport infrastructure, utilities, and industrial assets—offering adaptable protection in a fast-changing risk landscape.
