What we do

Driving sustainable outcomes for Australia's used tyres is our priority.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of tyres which reach their end of life in Australia.

TSA is committed to promoting ethical, transparent and responsible practices across the end-of-life tyre (EOLT) supply chain.

We recognise that modern slavery risks exist at every stage of the tyre lifecycle — from raw material extraction to tyre collection, recycling and offshore processing.

TSA voluntarily upholds its principles by publishing two guiding documents:

  • Modern Slavery Statement of Commitment
Outlines TSA’s proactive approach to human rights and labour practices, including risk assessments, supplier engagement and due diligence processes for accredited participants and funded projects.

  • Modern Slavery Impact Statement
Highlights areas of heightened risk in the EOLT value chain and details initiatives like the Employee Entitlements Declaration and Foreign End Market Verification Program, designed to improve transparency and accountability within the industry.

Together, these resources support our vision for a sustainable and socially responsible tyre stewardship scheme in Australia.

Tyre Stewardship Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land and waterways on which we live, work, and depend. We acknowledge the unique spiritual and cultural connection, and continuing aspiration that the Traditional Owners have for Country and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

Please note: Tyre Stewardship Australia was accredited under the Australian Government Accredited Product Stewardship Scheme from March 2021 to March 2026 and submitted an application for re‑accreditation in January 2026, which is currently under assessment. Any use of the Australian Government product stewardship logo on this website relates solely to the previous accreditation period.
