
Fiona Portet joined Tyre Stewardship Australia as Head of Marketing and Communications in February 2026, bringing more than 30 years of corporate affairs and marketing experience from across Australia, Asia and Europe.
Her focus is on building reputation, trust and long-term value across complex stakeholder landscapes.
Fiona has held senior executive roles in global financial institutions and technology businesses, based in the US, UK, Singapore and Australia. She has also founded a boutique marketing and communications consultancy advising technology, consumer, financial and professional services clients.
Fiona began her career in 1990 in the Risk Advisory Services team at Macquarie Bank. She has also worked in the public sector, advising on export market development and R&D grants within the Queensland Department of Business, Industry and Regional Development.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Women’s Studies from La Trobe University, and has completed executive education at INSEAD, France. Since 2020, Fiona has served as a judge of the iAwards, Australia’s longest-running innovation awards.
