What we do

Our mission is to maximise the circular value of the resources in used tyres.

We run the national and voluntary Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme (TPSS) to help reduce the environmental, health and safety impacts of end-of-life tyres in Australia.

Is your council interested in using crumb rubber asphalt for the first time?

Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) has launched the Australian Crumb Rubber in Council Roads Incentive, providing funding support to eligible local councils looking to incorporate crumb rubber into asphalt road projects.

Councils can access up to $25,000 in funding to support the use of up to 100 tonnes of Australian tyre-derived crumb rubber, helping demonstrate its benefits and build confidence for broader adoption.

The TSA Australian Crumb Rubber in Council Roads Incentive has been made possible through the voluntary contributions of several tyre and auto brands to the Tyre Product Stewardship Scheme. See the full list of contributing brands here.

Tyre Stewardship Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land and waterways on which we live, work, and depend. We acknowledge the unique spiritual and cultural connection, and continuing aspiration that the Traditional Owners have for Country and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
